SIRDICKS  in conjunction with TEIJIN have developed and designed the lightest soft body armour yet. Utilizing light weight aramid technology produced by TEIJIN we have reduced the inner ballistic panel weight of the armour to approximately 1.2kg. The new armour also utilizes High Density foam as a trauma reducer, thus greatly diminishing the amount of impact experienced by the wearer, this allows faster re-action time if an officer has been shot. As well as allowing greater mobility, the armour reduces the amount of strain the wearer experiences, due to the far lighter weight.
The new ballistic panels were recently tested at our on-site shooting range, and performed excellently. The Light weight aramid shows a vast improvement in trauma (impact on body) reduction, making this armour the standard for the future.
PROTECTION LEVELS
Our body armour is rated according to the internationally accepted Standard NIJ 0101.04 for ballistic testing procedures for soft ballistic panels and ceramic plates.
The soft ballistic panels only afford level II protection. Addition of the hard ceramic plates increases protection to level III.
LEVEL II: SOFT BALLISTIC PANELS
BULLET TYPE MASS VELOCITY
